Merlot is a traditional and popular variety which, at cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc can be found in even the largest and most legendary wines of the world. Her home is Bordeaux, which arose spontaneously from crossing of Magdeleine Noire des Charentes and Cabernet Franc.

Merlot is popular variety yielding a full-bodied, soft and supple wine with a long aftertaste , a beautiful ruby red to dark red - deep color and delicate scent with notes of blackcurrant. The aroma and flavor of Merlot can also find notes of plums, blackberries, figs or even rose. In mature wines also they appear interesting notes of coffee, chocolate or fruit cake. Merlot is also suitable for the production of barrique wines. Maturation in wood gets a nice creamy vanilla flavor.
Merlot is perfectly suited to fine pates, the Deer ragout, calf to hip pack, the dish of game birds and also for Swiss cheese.
