Sea buckthorn contains a large amount of vitamin C. 100 g of sea buckthorn contains up to 400% of the daily dose, and a single sea buckthorn fruit covers the daily dose of vitamin C. In addition, sea buckthorn fruits contain vitamins from group B – B1, B2, B6, B9 (folic acid), vitamin D, E, F, K , P, provitamin A (beta-carotene), tannins and minerals, unsaturated fatty acids omega 3, 6, 7, 9 and other organic acids .
The uniqueness of sea buckthorn is also the fact that it contains a rare omega-7 unsaturated fatty acid , which occurs very rarely in nature, but in sea buckthorn oil it makes up a third of the proportion of unsaturated fatty acids.
