Sauvignon (Sauvignon Blanc) is an ancient grape variety originating from France apparently from the region of Bordeaux, and the Loire Valley. Probably result in a spontaneous crossing of varieties of Chenin Blanc and Gewurztraminer.

Sauvignon is one of the largest and undoubtedly the most popular white wines in Europe and the New World. I'll Wine thousands flavors - its shape depends on the terroir, vintage, harvest times, the technology used and a range of other factors. Very popular are the Sauvignon aromas with a hint that they upload new barrique barrels. Sauvignon wines are full, distinctive, often with mineral tones that derive mainly from siliceous soils. Sauvignon wines are wonderfully aromatic, with graceful tomn nettle, black currants and gooseberries, gooseberry or compote. Amazing Sauvignons good years to amaze wonderful scent of ripe peaches and muscat tones.

Sauvignon is a great wine greenish light in color, intensely aromatic, fresh, with a pleasant acidity, long aftertaste as the full range of wonderful flavors . The Sauvignon can be found along the tones of nettles, blackcurrant, gooseberry and peach tones and attractive kiwi, nectarines, watermelon and for sweet wines and pineapple, honey, mango and tropical fruits.

Almost legendary (and rightfully so) are Sauvignons from New Zealand , especially the notorious wine region of Marlborough.

Sauvignon perfectly suited to cold appetizers as well as an aperitif. It is recommended to administer the pasta to cooked ham, white meats with cream sauce if fish.
