The best Slovak red wine of all time - the phenomenal 2011 cuvée of the Slovak new nobles Hron, Váh, Rimava and Rudava caused a small earthquake at the 21st edition of one of the world's most prestigious wine exhibitions, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2014 - it not only won the Grand Gold Medal, but in strong competition more like eight thousand wines from all over the world, this wine was awarded as only one of five !!! the title Discovery of the Year 2014.

The award of this great and unusual wine in the strong competition of more than eight thousand wines from all over the world attracted the attention of foreign countries and stirred up heated debates on the domestic scene as well.

The extraordinary success of Winemaker's Cut cuvée Hron-Váh-Rimava-Rudava 2011 from the Mrva & Stanko winery in Trnava was due to several factors - the wine was born on the almost clean slate of the unofficial Grand Cru vineyard of Mr. Karol Braniš in Lower Ores, who since 2000 has been testing new nobles in practice Mrs. Dorota Pospíšilová and the imaginary crown of success, the great winemaker Vladimír Mrva, who brought the four blue rivers (Hron, Váh, Rimava and Rudava) together and breathed life into them...

The success of this wine must also be attributed to the climatically favorable year 2011, which ensured slow ripening, healthy raw material with excellent sugar content, intense cabernet aromatics, but especially harmonious acids and high-quality phenolic ripeness.

Today we have the opportunity to enjoy the successor - the phenomenal cuvée Modré rieky 2019, which more than worthily builds on the success of its predecessor.

Mrva Stanko WMC - Cuvée Modré rieky 2019 is a unique Slovak wine with a beautiful dark ruby color from the wine-growing village of Dolné Orešany. Its aroma of black currants and dark forest fruits enriched with notes of graphite and tobacco, together with a rich taste and an excellent structure of acids and tannins, create an unforgettable experience. Two gold medals from Víno Tirnavia 2023 and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2023 testify to its exceptional quality.

The wine has an incredible bottle maturity of 2-10 years .

After decanting, we recommend serving the wine at least 1 hour in glasses with a large volume (ideally 500-700 ml) at a temperature of 16-18°C.
