The 2018 vintage was extraordinary - especially favorable for wines from blue varieties. Even in the case of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, this fact in the Mavín | winery Martin Pomfy confirmed 100%. They obtained extremely high-quality raw materials from the South Slovak wine-growing region (Rúbaň village). The high sugar content of the grapes at harvest suggested that in 2018 an extraordinary red wine could be born from the terroir of the well-known wine-growing village of Rúbaň.

Pomfy's Cabernet Sauvignon, r. 2018 is a wine of beautiful, elegant violet-red color.

It has a beautiful, distinct aroma, full of attractive tones of black berry fruit, pelargonium, dried leaves and tobacco. The aroma is intense, promising a beautiful experience in taste as well. The taste of your wine is full of pleasant sensations copying a wonderful, noble aroma. The taste is full, mature with a fruit-tobacco sensation and soft tannins.

The wine was fermented in a stainless steel vinifier for 12 days using the "pump over" and "delestage" technique, at a temperature of up to 28°C. The fermentation itself was preceded by cooling the grapes to 13°C, 5 days and slow spontaneous fermentation. Aging took place for 30 months in French barrique barrels.

Wine is a pleasant companion to such dishes as steaks, grilled specialties and red meat dishes.
