Mrva & Stanko WMC Chardonnay - Čachtice LIMITED EDITION 2021, quality wine, dry, 0.75 l

As is the custom, Chardonnay from the Čachtíce terroir is one of the best that Slovak vineyards can offer lovers of good wines every year . The uniqueness of this wine lies in the unrepeatability of the Čachtice terroir, its soil and climatic conditions, as well as in the winemaker Vladimír Mrva's feeling for such high-quality raw materials and his ability to transfer the atmosphere of the particular year and the terroir itself into the wine.

This was also the case with the Winemaker's Cut Chardonnay (Čachtice) of the year 2021. This wine gem was fermented exclusively on natural yeast with subsequent malolactic fermentation. This great wine matured in 500 l oak barrels for several months... The wine thus became creamier, fuller, more delicious and acquired a great aging potential - up to 8 years.

Thanks to the Sur lie method, a process known as autolysis took place - the decomposition of the yeast, which releases various valuable substances into the wine. And so a pleasant biscuity and nutty tone appeared in this wine. The width and structure of the wine also changed, and its aging potential increased significantly.

It is a great white wine, amazingly complex, full and harmonious . It has a beautiful color, a great aroma and a delicious, full, harmonious taste - it is simply a wonderful white Slovak wine, which would be a shame not to taste it :)

We recommend serving this great Chardonnay at a temperature of 11-13°C. The combination of this wine with Asian dishes , such as sushi, is very interesting.
